EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported trauma therapy that helps people reprocess difficult or overwhelming experiences so they no longer hold the same emotional charge. Using bilateral stimulation - including eye movements, tapping, or sounds - EMDR supports the brain in integrating memories that feel "stuck" in the nervous system. As a result, clients often experience relief from symptoms like intrusive memories, hypervigilance, flashbacks, anxiety, or a lingering sense of danger. EMDR can allow you to feel freer to live in the present and make new choices. It can be a powerful standalone (or adjunctive) treatment or woven into ongoing psychodynamic therapy.
